Why the Social Development Goals and Environmental Sustainable Goals are Important to Us at Neura

At Neura, we are committed to using our platform to build the most impactful products and services that can help build a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

One of the ways we pledge to do this is through our commitment to create solutions to  the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through our work with Pitango, a leading VC firm and one of our closest investors, we established where Neura’s product could most help in accomplishing the Goals set forth. Cecile Blilious, Head of Impact & Sustainability at Pitango, helped us understand where we could strengthen these initiatives and was a huge help as we established our KPIs and sustainability goals for the coming years.

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in partnership with the United Nations Member States came up with 17 Sustainable Development Goals that create an outline for global peace and prosperity for the people of the world and the planet at large.

Neura’s Behavioral Intelligence Platform addresses three of these goals directly.

  1. SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
    1. Neura and TripAdvisor joined forces to create the CrowdFree platform that helped reopen the U.S. economy at appropriate times during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as monitor and track impact of changing regulations on human health. Our platform has encouraged millions of consumers to shop safely and help reignite the U.S. economy as well as the U.K. and Israel Economy.
  2. SDG 3: Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All at All Ages
    1. Neura’s COVID-19 Pandemic Management Platform helped the Israeli Ministry of Health save thousands of lives and save over $100M in fighting the Coronavirus pandemic. Our platform was chosen by the Israeli COVID-19 task force and HMOs to serve as the decision-making tool for PCR test deployment and vacation deployment strategy.
  3. SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
    1. Neura’s Urban Intelligence Solution reduced public transportation commute time into commercial areas in Israel by 45%. This was achieved by fusing behavioral intelligence data, traffic pattern insights, and movement patterns, to create new dedicated routing for public transportation. Neura also worked with a leading OEM manufacturing helping them identify where to place electric vehicle charging stations using key indicators such as frequently visited areas, duration of stay in each location, as well as parameters for optimal city innovation.

Apart from the work we are doing on a macro level to help close the gaps on the key issues in the well being, economic growth, and sustainable cities and communities domain, Neura is also committed at the micro level making sure that our company culture is as strong as our mission.

We take immense pride in our culture here at Neura, and understand that changing the world for the better starts with a company culture that fosters connectivity and support.

“Working with the Neura team on their ESG has been a remarkable experience. From the inception of an “Impact Taskforce” and all the way to implementation, one thing was clear – the Neura team is fully and wholly dedicated to building an inclusive company and to address some of the world’s biggest challenges using its technology. The seamless integration of impact metrics into Neura’s business shows the company’s ability to adopt the impact world into its DNA. I am super proud to be able to coach and support the Neura people on their way to becoming a leading company with both successful business and social impact.” Cecile Blilious

We are an inclusive, worldly, energized, and motivated team that strives to do good for the world around us by helping leaders make data-driven decisions about key issues impacting our world.

Our employees hail from eight different countries and we have offices on two continents. We value equal opportunity employment, diversity and inclusion efforts, and stakeholder management.

Neura is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace and firmly prohibiting discrimination and harassment of any kind. We take pride in our diversity and inclusion efforts and boast a strong women’s management team with 45% of our management team identifying as women.

We believe that having a diverse team and focusing on hiring women employees at the same rate as men, enables us to create an environment with exceptionally strong propensity towards multifaceted thinking, a large knowledge base filled with diverse insights, profound creativity, more agile thinking and flexibility, and the ability to deliver faster and more succinct results.

Not only does a diverse team increase our productivity and innovation, it has naturally resulted in creating a healthy, fun, peer-to-peer mentoring environment and company culture that values each individual for what he/she/they can bring to the table.

I’ve always been proud that we have such a healthy and friendly company culture, and I firmly believe that diverse teams enable everyone to come and work for a cause, creating great products for our customers, while having fun along the way. It’s only through such a strong and happy team that we can make such an impact on the world. – Triinu Magi, CTO, Co-Founder

Lastly we want our employees to feel valued and cared for as well as deeply committed and ingrained with our core product offerings. Therefore, we work closely with team members and collaborators to ensure employee stock options, competitive compensation, work life balance, education opportunities, and prioritization of healthcare.

We continue to set goals and stick to our KPIs to make sure that we are fully aligned with what we can offer, and that we are taking the necessary steps to get there.
